Villa Palazzola, near Rome, Italy, June 9 to 14, 2013

Persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities have particular and complex health issues, including behavioural and mental health issues. They experience barriers to appropriate and adequate health care. They are also vulnerable to poverty, isolation, abuse and neglect. This colloquium focuses on the ethical issues that arise in supporting and caring for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Participants will hear from experienced and knowledgeable speakers, engage in inter-disciplinary discussions, and collaborate on recommendations to inform practices.
